Much of modern life has become transactional: do this to get that. Work has increasingly been reduced to a source of income, divided into narrow tasks and directed towards the interests of owners and shareholders.

The Munchkin Movement offers another possibility. It creates space for people to use their full range of abilities in ways that feel meaningful — and to help others without placing a price on every contribution

Munchkin work is neither volunteering,

nor a priced transaction.

It is real work offered first as a contribution to the world; any reward is determined freely by the person who benefits after—or during—the work on the principle of “Pay what feels right”.
